Bebo Valdes "Mucho Sabor - Con Su Orquesta Sabor de Cuba (With vocalists Pio Leyva, Ada Rex, Reynaldo Enriquez and Cascarita)"
As principal pianist and arranger for the famed Tropicana nightclub house-band of 1950’s Havana, Bebo Valdés developed a reputation as a master arranger. Often referred to as the “Cuban Quincy Jones”, Valdés was the “go to man” in 1950’s Havana. His unique skills were constantly in demand and his arrangements graced some of the finest recordings in Cuban music history. Recorded in Havana in the late 1950’s, Mucho Sabor features Bebo’s legendary orchestra Sabor De Cuba from the Tropicana days. This rare recording stands as one of the great treasures of Cuban music, remastered and finally available on CD.
